LPA Energy, the lighting and energy solutions provider, has announced its acquisition of the industrial systems integrator VRT Systems.

VRT Systems specialises in energy management and utility billing infrastructure. The addition of VRT Systems into the LPA Energy Group was made with the aim of enhancing the range of solutions offered, “furthering LPA’s mission to provide clients with innovative solutions that deliver energy and operational efficiencies”, says a media release.

VRT will continue to develop sensors, automation systems, tracking, energy management and operations management across the manufacturing, utilities, transport, construction and government industry sectors.

LPA’s history of offering lighting efficiency is now backed and supported by a large range of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions that give clients full visibility across their operations.

The raft of acquisitions also includes CETA, a commercial metering solutions business, and WideSky, a cloud-based IoT platform that offers visibility on the performance of working environments.

By joining these under one company, LPA hopes to create a unique offering for clients in being able to promote a full range of solutions to drive energy and operational efficiencies in their businesses. The options range from individual lights, energy and water meters through to customised IoT solutions that provide visibility and control over a broad range of sensors.
