Engineering consultancy pitt&sherry will provide design expertise for key elements of a $10 million wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) development that will form part of Lion’s upgrade of The Heritage cheese manufacturing site in Burnie, Tasmania.
The redevelopment of the Burnie site is expected to be complet by the end of this year. During the final stages of the project, existing buildings and associated infrastructure will be demolished and replaced by a new WWTP – installed by ADI Systems Inc.
pitt&sherry will provide civil, structural and mechanical design services to ADI Systems for the WWTP development. This includes site landscaping and design of sealed surfaces, drainage design, fire emergency design, site perimeter containment design and design of equipment and tank foundations. The mechanical design scope will include works on the WWTP’s pumps and pipes.
The WWTP project contract follows pitt&sherry’s earlier involvement with The Heritage redevelopment project by ADI Systems.
